In December 2025 and January 2026, Chiara Gabellieri, Assistant Professor at the University of Twente, completed her secondment at the University of Pisa, hosted by the Department of Information Engineering, within the NeutraWeed project. The secondment focused on a two-way exchange of knowledge and training activities in aerial robotics and weed management.

During her stay, Chiara carried out research, training, and networking activities aimed at strengthening interdisciplinary collaboration.

In December, she delivered a seminar titled “Aerial Robotic Manipulation with and of Cables” at the host institution, engaging professors, researchers, and PhD candidates in discussions on advanced robotic systems and their potential applications, including in agriculture.

In January, she contributed to capacity building by delivering a 20-hour doctoral course on “Modeling and Control of Aerial Multirotor Robots”, providing both theoretical and practical insights into aerial robotics.

She also collaborated with the host institution to plan and supervise upcoming secondments from the University of Twente, focusing on robotic manipulation in complex environments.

Chiara’s secondment strengthened collaboration between the University of Twente and the University of Pisa, supporting knowledge exchange and capacity building at the intersection of aerial robotics and sustainable weed management.
