Join the NeutraWeed Visiting Fellows’ Seminars on Agroecological Weed Management in Pisa, Italy
The NeutraWeed project is pleased to invite researchers, students, advisors, farmers, and all stakeholders interested in sustainable farming to attend two seminars on agroecological crop and weed management, taking place on 10 September 2026, from 15:30 to 16:30, at Polo Piagge H1, University of Pisa.
The seminars will be delivered by Nikos Antonopoulos and Metaxia Kokkini, researchers from the Agricultural University of Athens, who will visit the University of Pisa as Visiting Fellows within the framework of the NeutraWeed project.
The programme will feature two expert presentations exploring innovative approaches to weed management in different cropping systems.

The first seminar, “Agroecological weed management in perennial crops”, presented by Nikos Antonopoulos, will focus on agroecological approaches to weed management in perennial cropping systems.
The second seminar, “WEST (Weed Science Team) activities: crop and weed management in annual cropping systems”, presented by Metaxia Kokkini, will introduce the activities of the Weed Science Team (WEST) at the Agricultural University of Athens and explore approaches to crop and weed management in arable land cropping systems.
The event will provide an opportunity to learn from the research activities of the Agricultural University of Athens and to exchange knowledge on innovative and sustainable approaches to weed management.
