Last April, Lina Bosaz, coordinator of the Network of Service Crops at Aapresid (Argentina), travelled to the Weed Science group of the Instituto Nacional de de Investigación y Tecnología Agraria y Alimentaria - INIA-CSIC (Spain) for a month-long research stay as part of our joint NeutraWeed project.

During her stay, Lina collaborated with Dr. María Arias and her research group on several projects focused on agrobiodiversity, weed ecology, and herbicide resistance.
CEREDIV: researched wheat and chickpea cultivar mixtures to evaluate their impact on yield, weed diversity, and soil health, in collaboration with farmers.
BAMh: validated weed Italian emergence prediction models in Spain for key weed species.
REGRAMA: explored herbicide resistance in grass weeds in maize.
Assessed sprouting of Johnsongrass under drought and flooding conditions.
Investigated hybridisation of teosinte × maize crosses.
Her work directly supported the project’s goals of promoting biodiversity-friendly weed management.
